Chicken with Mushroom and Garlic


1 tbs oil
450g (1lb) boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into strips
100g (4oz) back bacon, chopped
2 tsp Schwartz Oregano
1 tsp Schwartz Garlic Granules
¼ tsp Schwartz Nutmeg Ground
175g (6oz) mushrooms, sliced
1 tbs lemon juice
2 tbs plain flour
150ml (1/4 pint) milk
150ml (1/4 pint) single cream

1 tsp English mustard
Salt and Schwartz Black Peppercorns , freshly ground

STEP 1

Heat the oil in a large frying pan and fry the chicken and bacon for 4-5 minutes until golden. Add the Oregano, Garlic Granules, Nutmeg, mushrooms and lemon juice and fry for 1-2 minutes.



STEP 2

Add the flour and cook for 1 minute. Blend in the milk, cream and mustard. Season well and bring to the boil, stirring until thickened. Serve with pasta or rice.
